  • A local organisation

Applicants must live in, or deliver activities within, the Lybster and Tannach Community Council areas.

What We Fund

We fund non-formal education and learning activities.

Non-formal learning is learning that takes place outside schools, colleges and formal qualification-based education. It is often practical, creative, informal and community-led.

Funded activities may include:

  • Workshops and short courses
  • Creative, arts and cultural activities
  • Youth clubs and learning groups
  • Skill-sharing and training opportunities
  • Intergenerational and community-led learning activities

What We Do Not Fund

To help applicants decide whether their project is eligible, the Fund does not normally support:

  • Formal education leading to qualifications
  • Core running costs not linked to a learning activity
  • Retrospective funding (activities that have already taken place)
  • Activities that do not benefit the local community
  • Projects delivered outside the Lybster and Tannach Community Council areas

How Much Funding Is Available

An annual allocation is available through the Lybster & Tannach Fund. Grant amounts and priorities may vary between funding rounds.

Details of available funding and any limits will be outlined in the application guidance.
